He is the President of the Wadsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, volunteers with many local charities, and has over 30 years’ of management experience combined at a Fortune 100 Corporation, an international software venture, as well as America’s favorite hometown weekly, The Post Newspapers.

Along with his wife Lisa, a teacher and varsity tennis coach at a Medina County school district, Michael saved a local landmark in Pine Valley Golf Course in 2018, along with starting his own development company in order to preserve as much local open land as possible around it. In the process, he saved numerous local jobs and has continued to add additional ones over the following two years. Through this business and life experience Michael is very knowledgeable about education, health care costs, governmental overregulation, balancing a budget, growing a business and creating jobs.

Starting out as a young teenage father, he discovered how to pull yourself up and achieve success through dedication, persistence, acquired knowledge, as well as good old fashioned hard work and is committed to doing the same for Ohio. From day one he will leverage his leadership and experience to further continue the fine work already accomplished by State Senate President Larry Obhof. Similar to Larry, Michael understands the burden that overregulation and a far too complex tax system can be on small business and is dedicated to improving the business environment in Ohio. Additionally, with both a wife and daughter as teachers and a grandfather who was a longtime school principal, Michael understands how important a strong foundation in education has been to his success and that we must be committed to doing what is necessary to ensure that the same strong educational foundation is there for all future generations of Ohioans.

Michael and his wife Lisa have resided in the City of Wadsworth for over 33 years, raising 3 children and now have 3 young grandchildren, all living in the area.  They are both committed to improving life for EVERY resident of District 22 and the State of Ohio. They feel very fortunate to have lived, worked and raised a family in the best place in all of America and want to ensure that our state continues to offer that same opportunity to every Ohioan, now and in the future.
